The synchronized, true parallel motion of the fingers is generated by a pinion mechanism powered by a double acting piston. The jaws are supported by a T-SLOT way. The advantage of this design is that the jaw support is greatly increased. The gripping force can be adjusted by varying the supplied air pressure.
