Function:
- With
spindle stopped puller is moved in rapid transverse on the z axis,
and placed onto material bar.
- Puller
locks onto the outside diameter of bar with a pair of properly
adjusted set screws or custom-made fingers.
- The
collet or chuck is programmed open and puller pulls bar to establish
distances.
- Collet
or chuck closed and puller moves off bar on the z axis and the
puller releases open with an audible "snap".
